lock, stock, and fishing in a barrel

I've been taking inventory of the things I will be selling or getting rid of when (for the love of God SOON) I move.

I pulled out this dress from last fall.

My mother bought it for me late last fall after I had gradually lost quite a bit of weight and I looked well nice in it. It's wool and purple: two of my favorite things for colder temperatures.

This is the dress I wore on probably the worst night of my life, filed under angsty, pitiful, see also: deeply distressing. Which is ironic because it was the lovliest December night I had chosen specifically to see the tree at Rockefeller Center.

The only time I ever wore it again after that was for an interview for the internship which I left today for good.

I put it in the maybe pile.
