when you pound pavement, it pounds back

In anticipation of New York I Love You, the follow-up film for Paris Je T'aime, that conglomeration of short films about love in each of Paris' arrondissements (districts) with an impressive list of celebrity directors and actors, I traipsed around the West Side's Meatpacking District and Greenwich Village, peppering the place with my resume. It's my favorite part of Manhattan to get lost in. Also the easiest part of Manhattan to get lost in.
While most of the city is organized by grids of east side, west side, avenues and streets, the West/Greenwich Village seems to be ruled by triangles of weirdly-shaped blocks the stop/break and start again wherever they so choose. Charming.
